St. George Utah

Hello Again to all our fellow Blog Viewers,

Since our last post we have managed to take over 200 photo's of various beautiful sites. We promise we will not bore you with all of them, but it is a difficult decision as to which ones to post. After we left Park City Utah, we traveled to Green River Utah and stayed at a State Park for one evening before motoring on down the old highway to Moab Utah, just outside of Arches National Park. We hiked around Arches National Park for 2 days, looking at some spectacular rock formations. It is amazing what nature has done to this area.

How does that rock stay up there?

We were told that we needed to see Goblin Valley, which was sort of on our way to Bryce Canyon.  We park our Wheel House out in the desert for an evening, and went to see Goblin Valley.

We hiked through this strange landscape of Goblin Valley

With Steve thinking we should go one way..................

And Roberta wondering if we shouldn't go another way..................

After a few hours of climbing through canyons and over rocks, we managed to find our way out.  Yes, Steve was wrong and Roberta knew the right way out.

We left the Goblins in Goblin Valley, and snaked our way through the highway canyons of Escalante National Monument and park in the forest, for an evening of rest, before heading to Bryce Canyon.

We stayed in an RV Park outside of the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park.  We only took 117 pictures in Bryce Canyon, so here are just a few that are our favorites.

So, after all of that scenery, and you have only seen a sample, we have arrived in St. George Utah.  The town of St. George hosts the annual Huntsman World Senior Games, and we have friends that are attending the Senior Ladies Softball events.  Roberta has signed up to participate in Ladies Softball, if there are any teams that need a player.  Steve has decided to take in all the games and possibly participate in the beer drinking events.  Someone has to do it.

We will be here for a week, and will visit Zion National Park, before heading to the Grand Canyon.  With any luck, we will take another million pictures to bore you with.  The weather has been perfect, except for two nights of lighting, thunder and pouring rain.  Looks like next week will be in the upper 80's and lots of SUN......Ya

Thanks for checking in on us.

Roberta and Steve
