Back Home For The Summer

Since our last post we really haven't done much.  We attended a RV Rally in Syracuse New York for a few days, and found a couple of new RV's that would be nice to have, but we decided to keep ours.  We managed to get some good seats at the Reba McEntire concert at the rally.

Currently we are back in Portland for the summer.  We probably will not be posting much until mid September, when we return to New York and continue our travels.  Until that time, we hope everybody has Safe Travels and Sunny Skies.

Pittsburgh...

We arrived in the Pittsburgh area a few days ago, and I must say, I Do Not like driving in big towns anymore.  Maybe it is just Pittsburgh (lots of construction), but it seems like this is the worst we've been in for a long time.  Probably LA was the last spot.  Oh Well, gotta take the good with the bad.

On the flip side, Pittsburgh is a very pretty river city.  Three rivers come together in downtown, and we think that there are more bridges here than in Portland.  Along with Heinz Field (Pittsburgh Steelers) and PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates) being located in the downtown area, makes this a very busy city.

Lots of cool old buildings are scattered around the downtown area.  The courthouse (upper right half of photo), and the jail (upper left half of photo), with a bridge way between the two was spectacular.

Roberta flew off from here Thursday to play in a ladies senior softball tournament in Reno.  I had plans to go to a Pirates game this evening (Saturday), but decided not to go.  There are two tunnels in the downtown area, and they are closing both of them this weekend for maintenance.  The media is all abuzz about the closures, since there are 3 events going on this weekend.  The Pittsburgh Penguins (Hockey) and the Pirates (Baseball) both have games.  The Penguins are in the running for the Stanley Cup.  Brad Paisley has a concert this weekend also.  With all the construction going on, and all of the events, the city is projected to be in Gridlock.  I have decided to avoid it all.  I'll watch it on the old tube instead.

Again, we have managed to find a parking place for the old wheelhouse where we have a awesome view.
GREAT SUNSETS

Roberta returns late Sunday evening, and we will be heading East on Tuesday.  There is an RV Rally in Syracuse NY, beginning June 13th, that we will checkout, before flying home on the 18th.

Not much else going on for now.  Thanks Again for taking a look at us.
