Goodbye Wyoming..... Hello Utah

Let us tell you, there is nothing in Wyoming, when you travel across the Southern Route of the state.
We left South Dakota and crossed back over to Wyoming to get to Park City Utah.   It took us 2 days to get through Wyoming, and we knew it was not going to be memorable.   We found a place to park for an evening outside of Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Nothing fancy, but it was quiet and free.

When morning came, we closed up the wheelhouse and headed down the road for Park City, Utah.
We stayed in Park City for 2 days visiting our friends Tom & Kathy, and Mike & Jo.  We met these friends on our Canada Houseboat trip last year.  During the day we visited the 2002 Winter Olympics site where there is a museum and training facility.  We got lucky, because just as we arrive, the US and Australia Ski Jump teams where beginning to practice.  We wish we could upload the videos to the blog, but you can probably imagine from the pictures.

After watching the Ariel Acrobatics, with skis on, .we were invited to participate in some Olympic activities.
Roberta wanted to run with the Olympic Torch

And Steve wanted to try skiing again

After all of that excitement, we knew it was 5 o'clock somewhere, so we headed down to Main Street Park City for a cold one.  Roberta found this old gray haired guy sitting at an outside Pub, and decided to take his picture.
Main Street Park City is a really nice tourist area, with many art studios and eateries.

So, after a very nice stay in Park City, and "GREAT VISIT" with some "AWESOME" friends, it was time to head on down the road towards Arches National Park outside of Moab Utah.  We should be there in a few days. (Don't want to rush things.)

Until Next Post,

Roberta & Steve
